Sony DSC-T700 is extremely slim and stylish with high-capacity 4GB memory and photo album function. 10.1 megapixels with 3.5-inch wide touchscreen, 4x optical zoom, optical SteadyShot, improved Smile Shutter, enhanced Face Detection and Intelligent Scene Recognition Large 3.5 inches screen and 4GB of internal memory to boot are two shining points for T700. That's nearly 1000 full-resolution or 40000 VGA-quality photos, which certainly ensures it lives up to the "photo album in your pocket" reputation Sony labels it with. T700 also features a newly-developed Carl Zeiss lens that integrates a 4x optical zoom, and also feature image stabilisation, scene recognition technology and an anti-blink function that warns you when someone has closed their eyes.

PROS ==== + nice large sharp screen. perfect for showing off your photos + built in software to edit photos on the go + built in 4GB memory. can shoot photos without the memory stick + can zoom in and out while recording video! + 4x optical zoom CONS ==== - expensive. it is not worth $400!! i think the Sony T77 is a much better value - thicker than i expected. i still like the older yet thinner Sony T7 - built in stabilizer and high 3200 ISO dont mean anything in low light. a digital SLR is still much better than this camera - 10Megapixel doesnt mean anything. photos look the same as my old Sony T7's 5 megapixel. - touchscreen is not finger friendly and NOT multitouch. a mini flat stylus is included. - video recording is not HD unlike the sony T500. Summary: not worth the $400! this camera is truly a disappointment! by the way, i recorded the video with the PS3. voice was muffled because i was behind the mic. UPDATE 11-15-2008: Dell occaisionally have 15% and another 5% you can use together. price would be down to $270. check techbargains.com for the coupon codes.

Think about how often you show digital photos to others, either on your mobile phone or camera's LCD. Now think about how miserable the experience is trying to find an image on that camera or phone, how frequently you don't have the photo you really want to show, and how pathetically small and visually underwhelming the display is for the task. Sony's Cyber-shot DSC-T700 aims to improve this picture-sharing experience by giving consumers not only a well-rounded point-and-shoot camera, but also a portable digital photo album able to store up to 40000 images and view them on a 3.5-inch LCD screen. And we're pleased to say: it succeeds. The T700 replaces the DSC-T300 in Sony's lineup. Like that camera, the T700 has a 10-megapixel, 1/2.3-inch Super HAD CCD sensor, wide 3.5-inch touch-screen display, f3.5-f10 35-140mm-equivalent Carl Zeiss lens (though the zoom range drops from 5x to 4x), Super SteadyShot optical image stabilization, and shooting features like Smile Shutter, face detection with child- and adult-priority control, and iSCN Intelligent Scene Recognition. However, along with improvements made to the LCD's picture quality (921000 pixels up from 230000) the T700's internal memory jumps from 15MB to 4GB--3.7GB available for photo storage--as well as support for up to a 16GB Memory Stick DUO PRO card. The internal storage combined with the 3.5-inch touch-screen LCD and the bundled Sony Picture Motion Browser software is what turns the camera into a digital photo album
