I present to all of you The Dynasty Warriors 5 Xtreme Legends Musou Strength Ranking. Or a ranking of officer killing musous. This video is also a celebration, for me getting a DVD-recorder. Now you dont have to put up with crappy quality This video took me quite some time to make, but I had a lot of fun making it. All of the characters musous can be measured accurately [enough], by keeping all other factors constant. Because of the weapons I had already, the most convenient musou bar length for this video was a Lv20 increase on a weapon. All characters have maxed stats, and an extra Lv20 increase in both attack and musou, either by the Tiger Amulet and Dragon Amulet items, or by including them in the weapons. All weapons are of medium weight with a power rating of 20. There are exceptions, Wei Yan and Cao Cao, who have Power21. I had 21 to begin with, and was too lazy to get a new weapon. An extra +1 in power is a lot less than an extra +1 in attack, so the results are unchanged. So important notes on accuracy: This video is but a ranking of musou strengths at this particular musou length. While it still is quite an accurate ranking for general musou strength, what I mean is that certain characters gain an extra musou strike or extra repetition of strikes at certain musou bar lengths. This would explain why Dong Zhuo gets an extra two slashes, which is an extra repetition. Ideally, Dong Zhou would be placed a few ranks lower, but for the sake of health depleted, I have ...

Dynasty Warriors 5 Xtreme Legends Chaos Mode Battle of Xia Pi Lu Bu ----- Recommended Weapon: Heavy Atk / Mus / Fill / Life / Def Recommended Items: Fire Orb Tiger Amulet / Green Scroll / True Way of Musou / Wind Scroll / Dragon Amulet ----- First, sorry for the slight confusion. I have so many Lu Bu vids that I should go back and delete some of them. The weirdest thing about this build is that it's somewhat obvious (or at least not hard to come up with), but since Lu Bu was always Top Tier material anyway, this is probably why his TRUE maximization was always overlooked. Actually, Cleed and I looked at it quickly b4, and saw that C3 isn't quite so safe, but that definitely isn't enough to consider a heavy weapon setup dead in the water, as you'll see in the video and the notes below. First of all, it is useful to note that his C3 isn't perfectly safe at heavy attacking speed when in super dense crowds, so this means he can't walk past officers and flank them from behind and take complete advantage of the stupid AI. There aren't many stats that Lu Bu needs, so it is very useful to have both Life and Defense on his weapon so that he can sacrifice the damage taken when facing playable officers in massive crowds, without Musou Rage. However, this suggestion is only to allow him that opportunity, and the concept that he can take the hits as a sacrifice for optimized offense, but as you'll see below, there are safer and still offense-impressive ways to deal with playable ...

Dynasty Warriors 5 Xtreme Legends Chaos Mode Siege of He Fei Castle (Wu Forces) Gan Ning (moveset) ----- Gan Ning's Maximization Recommended Weapon: Medium Weight Attack / Musou / Fill / Charge / Speed Charge and Speed are the least important. Fill actually isn't even that important, but definitely helpful. Putting Life and Defense in the place of Charge and Speed may be a good idea. I'm just more geared towards flexibility and damage maximization. Attack, musou, and fill shouldn't be changed though. Recommended Items: Ice Orb Tiger Amulet / Green Scroll / True Way of Musou / Wind Scroll / Dragon Arms Offensive maximization of course, as always. The way maximization should work in this game is to maximization damage in order to get as much musou fill as possible. This naturally gives the best defense. The idea is to not get hit, instead of being able to sustain more hits. Sustainability is the governing thing for Chaos Mode, because recovery items are scarce. ----- Hehe, Gan Ning's moveset maximization just had to be one of the first redos right? The interesting thing about performance maximization in Chaos with Gan Ning is being creative and skillful with his musou. But being skillful with musou filling can be just as important, but perhaps not as important as more complex characters like Guan Yu (yes Guan Yu is complex) It's kinda nice how I've developed no rust from not playing DW5 for a while. He doesn't really need Conserve; he doesn't really need Adrenalin; but...if you think about it, he doesn't really need Awakening. Choose whatever you want. Awakening will allow him to kill some generic officers in one R1. Refer to Xiahou Jia's Tadakatsu video to see this. Or, you can see this in my Officer Pileup video for Tadakatsu. Since in Wu 7-X, officers are slightly weaker, his R1 will kill generics in one hit. It's also important to note, that an alternative setup would have Agility swapped with Multi. This setup makes him stronger, but only slightly slower. In the end though, it doesn't matter, because officers die in one charge attack, and double defense Lu Bu dies in two charge attacks (but usually with an R1) Without Multi, he can kill DD Lu Bu in two C1's if you control it properly. This is the fastest offense for Tadakatsu against Lu Bu. Other good offenses would be C3, then C4. If you have the Multi setup, you can abuse C4-1 and the one elemental slash after it. C1 maximization requires the slashes to actually hit the officer. So it would be incorrect to consider his C1 as a ranged attack completely. And ya...he's incredible against archer hordes, and of course officer hordes, which is shown in the ...
